When presenting our Workshop series, that aims at further expanding the IFCC horizon, we disclosed that concept artist Jama Jurabaev will be the first in a line of presenters. We are now settling into a groove of announcements regarding our workshops with 2D video game animator and UX/UI designer Renaud Forestié. Renaud hails from Bordeaux, France, and is fine like wine when it comes to video game development tools.
I'm a passionate UX designer. I love grids, responsive design, typography and crafting optimized web and mobile products that make people happier.
Currently working as a freelance artist, Renaud has boosted his expertise working for 15 years in art direction, animation and game design for companies such as Ubisoft, Grazia, McDonald's, Denon and Warner Brothers. He's worked for some big shot employers, sure, but his main aim has always been to make creators and users happy and content. Whether he's building or contributing to web sites, mobile apps or video games his focus is always on user experience. Which is great news for all interested in taking his IFCC workshop since he'll have the same generous philanthropic attitude while presenting his work and approach to hopeful attendees. It's worth noting that he also mentors startups, speaks at conferences and leads design sprints for a wide range of companies. Sounds pretty good so far.
His interest in a gratifying user experience and video games goes so far that he created his own studio – More Mountains. The studio creates video games, interfaces and visual assets for clients who want improve the user experience of their products. Renaud is passionate about grids, responsive design, typography and crafting optimized structures that tickles fancies.
More Mountains unifies interaction, storytelling and design by creating useful Unity assets based on professional level code and visual assets, which the client is free to use and expand on in all his projects. The studio's flagship assets are the Corgi Engine, only the best 2D/2.5D platformer solution for Unity, the Infinite Runner Engine and Nice Touch. All these are content packed and/or simple to use, perfect for designing streamlined games with incredible visuals and flowing action.
The IFCC team urges you to check out Renaud's work and studio via this link. Everything you want/need to know about him will be lavishly illustrated and explained on site.
Although we believe we said more than enough to peak your interest for this IFCC workshop, we would like to point out that in addition to his work in artbooks, ad campaigns, video games, album covers and exhibitions Renaud is also the author of a number of illustrated children stories and comic books. And just to wrap things up we'll mention that when he's not designing parallel digital universes or drawing, he plays in his band Uniform Motion. So he likes music, people, art and video games. How great is this guy, huh?
„Animation Workshop“ will be held on 05. and 06. of June 2017., during Animafest Zagreb - world festival of animated film. Animafest Zagreb is a partner of IFCC 2017. This workshop is FREE but the number of seats is very limited so stay tuned until we inform you about the registration process.
